St Martin of Tours Catholic Parish has served the people of Forney, Talty, Crandall and the surrounding areas since 1891. Throughout the 132 history, the strong faith and selfless sacrifice of the parishoers has made St Martin of Tours a special place tha lifelong, parishioners, newcomers and visitors all find rare and uniquely inviting. In 1929 a fire destroyed the origional church, the parish quickly rebuilt, and only four and a half months later, constructed and dedicated the church you see on CR213 & M1641. Standing "like a monument on the prairie, the " Church on the Ridge" served as a legacy and preserverance of many deeply-rooted families who contributed to what remaions and flourishes today.
